ELECTRIC GALLEY SYSTEMS — ENGINEERED & SEA-TESTED

Gas-free cooking, engineered for the open sea.

Curio is a gimballed stainless-steel electric galley enclosure for sailing yachts — a combination oven and two-zone induction hob in one marine-grade unit. Designed aboard and refined over two years from Sweden to Greece, it’s built for boats moving on from gas to safer, cleaner, fully electric cooking.

THE PROOF

Two years. Eleven countries. Zero gas refits.

Curio wasn’t designed in a workshop and hoped onto a boat. It was developed over two years of full-time liveaboard sailing from Sweden to Greece — under sail, at anchor, and through every climate in between. Every vent, grab rail and footprint decision comes from cooking real meals in real seas.

FITTED ABOARD

Curio, in a customer’s galley

Curio is now being fitted aboard cruising yachts — replacing the gas cooker with a clean, all-electric galley. Here is how it looks and works in an owner’s boat, with more installs to come as Batch 1 ships.

Curio electric galley enclosure fitted aboard a Beneteau Oceanis 51.1 — a Panasonic combination oven below a two-zone induction hob with a stainless fiddle rail, beside a butcher's-block worktop and the galley sink Wider view of the Curio electric oven and induction hob installed in the light-oak galley of a Beneteau Oceanis 51.1, beside the sink and saloon window

“We have a Beneteau Oceanis 51.1 and had been looking for a way to replace the gas cooker with an all-electric setup. We came across Curio, who supplied a well made cabinet designed to accommodate a conventional electric oven and induction hob. The installation was straightforward, the fit and finish are excellent, and it looks like it was fitted by the factory. We’re delighted to have eliminated gas from the boat and now have cooking appliances that are every bit as good as those in our kitchen at home. Highly recommended.”

BEFORE YOU ASK

The questions every sailor asks.

Different question? Ask it below — that’s exactly what the form is for.

Will my battery bank cope?
Most cruising boats with 400Ah+ of lithium and a 3kW inverter are already there. Tell us your setup and we’ll model your exact cooking loads before you commit to anything.
What about long passages?
Curio crossed Biscay and two Mediterranean seasons on its test boat. Induction draws hard but briefly — a typical dinner costs far less than most sailors assume, and solar usually replaces it by morning.
Does it fit my galley cut-out?
Curio is sized for common gimbal spaces. Send us your dimensions through the form and we’ll confirm fit — honestly — before you place a deposit.
What happens to my deposit?
It’s held, fully refundable, until your batch is confirmed. The balance is only due once your production run is ready to begin — cancel any time before that.
