ABOUT OMEGA MARINE
Built aboard, not in a boardroom.
We’ve lived aboard for over ten years — from the UK’s waterways to Mediterranean cruising on a 39-foot Najad ketch. Gas was a constant compromise: awkward storage, bottle hunts abroad, and open flames in a moving boat.
So we built the galley we wanted to cook in. Curio carries a compact combination oven and a two-zone induction hob in a 6 mm gimballed stainless chassis — and every detail of it was decided at sea, cooking real meals in real conditions. Omega Marine exists to make that kind of electric galley available to any sailor ready to move past gas.
Omega Marine is a UK business supporting sailors across Europe with electric galley systems for boats and marine power design. Our approach is simple: robust design, transparent advice, and products tested in real marine environments rather than on a workbench.
“It looks like it was fitted by the factory — every bit as good as our kitchen at home.”

HOW WE THINK
Simple, safe, sustainable
Simple
An electric galley should be intuitive to use, easy to maintain and straightforward to install. Fewer moving parts than gas means less to go wrong far from a chandlery.
Safe
Removing gas removes its risks — no cylinders, hoses or open flame aboard. Induction surfaces cool quickly once switched off, and Curio’s gimbal and retaining plate hold the oven secure in a seaway.
Sustainable
Electric cooking pairs naturally with solar charging and low-impact cruising: energy you generate yourself, with no bottles to buy, carry or burn.

2024 · SWEDEN
Cast off, all-electric galley v1
We left Sweden with the first version of the electric galley aboard — and started finding out, meal by meal, what actually survives life at sea.
2025 · ATLANTIC COAST
Redesigns under real weather
Biscay and the Atlantic coast rewrote the spec: stiffer gimbal plates, a mechanical retaining lock, better venting. Bread baked on passage became the benchmark.
2026 · GREECE
Curio Batch 1 opens
Two years and eleven countries later, the design settled. Batch 1 is now in production with a family-run UK sheet-metal specialist — built in sixes, checked individually.
